Woodpecker Heating & Cooling is a dynamic team of skilled professionals servicing the building and retail customer industry with Heating, Cooling, Fireplaces & BBQ’s


We seek an EXPERIENCED BOOKKEEPER who is able to take on a challenging and rewarding senior position in our rapidly expanding team. This position is available for an immediate start.


Reporting to management, the successful candidate will thrive in a busy and challenging environment, be a team player, have the ability to work to deadlines and possess exceptional skills in attention to detail. Excellent time management skills are imperative.


You would be initially based at our Mornington Office but may need to travel to our other stores.


Your duties will include:


BOOKKEEPING
  • GST / BAS Statement Preparation & Lodgment
  • Payroll
  • Superannuation
  • Work cover
  • Payroll Tax
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable (inc goods returned & credit notes)
  • Fixed assets
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Budgeting
  • Reconciling & Reporting to Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow Forecasting
  • Banking (inc daily till reconciliations)
  • Month End account reconciliations
  • Payroll

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS
  • A positive and friendly personality with an attention to detail
  • Experience with all facets of MYOB PREMIER (including Payroll)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Finance Management & Accounting experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A Proactive approach to their workplace & fellow employees
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • Highly organized skills - must be able to meet deadlines

Preference will be given to applicants who hold or are studying for a Diploma of Accounting or above, however unqualified but skilled persons with long term stable work place experience are encouraged to apply.
